May I know if it is alright to mix white rice with brown rice? I read online that if you mix them together, the rice won't become so sticky. Washing the white rice is easy but brown rice had to soak it, right? Since my family had been eating white rice for the past decades, we were introduced to try brown rice instead to rectify our health problems. However, we were not told to mix brown rice with white rice. Anyone have any ideas whether these 2 rice are allowed to mix or not?

The brown rice needs a longer cooking time, if you mix the two rice the white rice will be overcooked.

1 cup of brown rice equals to 1.5 cup of 2 cups of water for you? I thought that it takes 45 min to cook brown rice... What brand is your rice cooker?

yeah, neither do I. I had been searching online that you can mix them but not recommended because white rice cook faster than brown rice. I was wondering whether the nutritious value are affected or not?

I think there is nothing wrong if we mix them. We sometimes mix regular rice with sticky rice.
