Very sad news that Sir Roger Moore has passed away at 89 from cancer. He was in seven James Bond films more than anyone else and was Simon Templar on The Saint. I'll be watching at least one of the Bond Films this week. I have always enjoyed seeing the first actor of any type of film more than others.

Saw this sad news online. Roger Moore was one of the more iconic actors to play James Bond!

He was amazing on television and in movies. I will enjoy the roles he played over the years remembering the good times.

I remember watching Ivanhoe many years after the show had aired. We didn't have electricity in our house and my friends had only 3 television channels. Sure a huge change for me today, as there are 100's of channels and I can't find anything to watch at times. Many of my favorites mean putting in a DVD to watch them.

@Fishmomma I agree, we have gone from a few channels with decent programs to a vast number of channels and nothing worth watching.
