Collateral Beauty is a movie that was in theaters 12/16/2016 starring a great cast, so I was prepared for a great movie, as Will Smith is the star of the show. The movie came out in December a time when I want to have happy thoughts not be depressed the minute it starts, so lets talk about why I was so sad last night.
Will Smith's character daughter died two years ago and he wrote letters to love, time and death angry at the loss of his daughter and left his wife and his business was in danger of going under because he wasn't taking care of the business.
The workers hired actors to play the roles of love, time and death paying them large amounts of money to make him change. You already know the outcome, as its predictable.
I'm giving this a C because of two actors Naomie Harris, who plays Madeline and has a group to help people deal with grief. Personally, I would go to that group, if I needed to talk with others about loss and Helen Mirren, who was Brigitte the death letter. I felt these two people made the movie watchable and they had smaller parts in the movie. Get the tissues, as its the saddest movie I have watched in a long time. Skip it if you prefer to be happy.

I am glad that somebody else will watch it. It moved me; however, the professional reviewers panned it.
