I WONDER HOW THEY DO IT.

Yes, I wonder how they do it -- write for three or more sites at the same time - and always seem to be searching for more. Here are the five reasons why I cannot do it. (1) Mylot already takes up a bit too much of my time - and I am addicted. (2) When I embark on something, I like to give it my best - and I cannot do that if I am writing for multiple sites - one or the other will suffer. (3) I am dealing with other offline projects which are very important ,as they keep me in the lifestyle I am accustomed to. (4) I need some me time,- time to indulge in at least one or two of my hobbies - like reading or watching a good movie. (5) I dislike the idea of staring at a computer screen longer than the hours I have alloted - not good for the eyes.

I agree with you. This is my only writing site, and even this takes its toll on my normal life.

@Kandae11 I go to FB about once a week and even that I find too much. It is not a place that I love hanging out. MyLot is #1 in my book!

Basically yes. I wanted to catch up with some old friends so I joined FB a few months ago , I haven't been successful so far but then again - I have only been there about fifteen times in three months.

i notice that some of them tend to forget or mix up the rules of the sites, or they think/expect that what they can do in one site, they can do in others.

I have written for as many as two recreational sites at a time. It is hard to keep things fresh. I will work at doing freelance work sometimes, but that is with titles others choose.

I enjoying writing reviews of products (that I chose) on Epinions. After reviewing 50 or so guitars, my writing started to feel "formulaic" (insert proper descriptive here), but I still enjoyed it. I think I joined "the site that will not be named" as Epinions was dying.

I've found out over the years that I'm a one-site person, too. My main argument is that even though there are similar sites, they all have a different atmosphere. Funnily, this is also the case if members post the same texts on different sites. I find it too exhausting to adapt to the different nuances.

Bubblews was my first - I needed time to adapt there. When I joined Mylot( my second) I found I had to adapt all over again. I have neither the time nor the inclination to do that with multiple sites.

I write on two sites but that's my limit. I enjoy both sites but I rarely spend more than a hour or two each day on either site. If the weather is bad and I'm stuck inside I'll be on the computer a little more. It's when I get caught up writing fiction that I have trouble keeping up with both sites.

Those are very good reasons. I work for multiple sites because I've always heard it's best not to put all your eggs in one basket. I think that's one of the reasons people write for other sites.

Yeah...All points are really good and acceptable. As a newbie l belong to first point and l too like to give my level best...Also l am not active at any other sites except Mylot.l like that much Mylot...l think some of them who are working in other sites too have speed reading and writing skill...Also for ladies is very difficult to work on multiple sites and especially to housewives...Because they are having more commitment like taking care of family and satisfy their needs...

Just like you I love myLot. Though, I also search for other earning sites. We have to admit that we cannot earn that much here. But since we love it here, we still are here despite having found another earning site already. We really just have to allot time for each so we can enjoy both.

@Kandae11 I just graded a bunch of papers and am using MyLot as a "reward" for getting real-world stuff done. Next, I head to "other" work and turn in a bunch of progress notes. Tomorrow morning I work at the preschool. At least the speakers I'm restoring are almost done and we have no gigs this weekend. I need a vacation!

I used to write on several sites each day, and it was easy. Since I do not facebook much anymore I spend that time here and I make a few dollars. and I like my friends better, some are here that are also on facebook, But when Niume was going strong I wrote there, mostly recipes and food, or photos. I have several of my own blogs and two are active, I write there a few times a week but I do not get paid, yet. The thing you have to do is make a schedule and stick to it, stay on each site the allotted time and no more. Sometimes I will write up a weeks worth of articles and have them ready or set on schedule to auto post so all I have to do is share the blog with social media. With all that said, I think I am a natural born writer. Or maybe I think I am, who knows?

Good for you. I never know what I will meet up with when I switch on Mylot - and most of the time I spend more time here than planned - but I like it here , so I choose to write here only. The other deterrent for me is that I do not like spending too much time staring at a computer screen - I use my eyes for many other things too - like my painting, drawing , sewing and doll making as well as reading. I don't plan on putting my eyesight at risk. But kudos to those who can do it all.

@Kandae11 I think I am very good at multitasking. I have learned it in my teenage time when I had to work as a working student while studying in college. I studied my lesson everywhere I could by studying when I was babysitting while doing household works in the house of my high school principal. Sometimes I was studying while cooking or washing the laundry with my hands. That was a hard time but I didn't regret it. I still have contact with the kids I took care of and their parents.
