Today it is the Children's Day here. Just now I saw the photos and video posted by my son's teacher. It is very thoughtful and sweet that there are two big cakes for them to celebrate it. These cakes are so beautiful I hope they will have a good time

@ilocosboy By the way, now I understand why this photo is like this. As the teacher wants to show the Chinese correctly from the cake

In fact the cakes were bought from the parents committee. In our class perhaps five parents handle it and thanks for them. The charges will be deducted from the fees we paid for our class.

it's a colorful and nutritious cake because of the fruits on top. what does the message on the cake say?

@hereandthere Yes, it is in Mandarin. These words are the same for Cantonese. And actually it is written in traditional Chinese words (big 5).

@TiarasOceanView This is why we call it the International Children's Day here but it seems not many countries celebrate it.

I do not believe that it's children day here, but the teacher was very kind to bring the big cakes for the kids.

@LadyDuck Today the children are luckier. I can't remember we had something like that in school. We just had a day off school and that's all
