High Jump

Remember doing high jump in school?
Well elementary students in Sault St Marie, will no longer be able to do high jumps during track & field. The school board has deemed this activity to be to high risk.
What things did you do as a kid that were insane?
What are your overall thoughts?

There are many games we were playing The jump was really excellent. We were enjoying it during our break timing.

I probably did a lot of things deemed dangerous. I played conkers. Apparently, that's banned in some places although there are tournaments in other places!
I remember doing high jump. I think I was OK at it. I didn't enjoy sport in general, though. Which may seem strange as I do love climbing, boating, and other outdoors things.
I'm all for reasonable risk assessments but there are certainly a lot of things which seem to be over the top.

All the kids used to go as high as they could and jump from the swing. A lot of kids broke their arms doing that. But some still did it. Very dangerous.
