My 12 year old cousin sister is always pampered by my grandpa. He buys her everything she asks for, he does everything she wants. He loves her more than any of us.
But she always used him just to get her needs fulfilled.. yesterday, we cousins planned to go out for dinner. I said "let's take grandpa with us" as he sits at home all the time and he's likes to eat out too.. but he doesn't get that much of an opportunity.
But my little sister said "no.. then that wouldn't be fun. Going out with him is so embarrassing".
This is how.. she treats him.. but he never stops pampering her.. 
I wish he knew who really loves him and who doesn't..

I think you are right to be upset about her attitude.
However, it's fairly common for kids that age to be very self-centered and easily embarrassed. Most of them feel that it's very important to be "cool" in front of their peers, or anyone.
But this is a good time to for her to learn that her rudeness is not acceptable!
In the future, if something like that happens, it might be good to say "Okay, Grandpa is going with us but you have to stay home!" That would get her attention.

thank you so much.. I'm concerned about her behaviour. As it not right to say such things. I don't completely blame her.. I blame her parents for not giving attention to her. Her mom is always busy in her phone and her dad doesn't have time for her. That's why she's becoming so negative about people..

@BloggerDi the way we brought up is completely different from the way she is.. it is really difficult for us to understand her thoughts and feelings.. we were always told to be kind, caring and always respect our elders .. but she was never told to be like that. And now I feel like it's too late. Even if I try talking to her, she would think I'm giving her a lecture .. or something else..

Yes, issues at home can contribute to those bad attitudes sometimes. But some kids get a lot of good attention and still behave selfishly.
But I do believe she needs some consequences for acting that way.
Our daughter became quite self-centered for a while at that age. We disciplined her, but she exhausted me at times! She is an adult now and doing fine, very caring & kind. But in retrospect, I think I should have been more firm with her.

@Nawsheen she just wants attention.. and wants to be loved by everyone. Kids always want attention but this kind of behaviour is not good. I talked to her about this.. I made her realise how much grandpa does for her.. I hope she understands this thing..

Yes.. and she may seem like a kid as she's only 12 but she's clever than all of us. She knows everything. She's a great "actor".

Maybe it is because she pampers him he loves her. The others could do the same thing and get the same love.

She's a kid ?? What kind of kid says this stuff about their grandparent? And if you hear this kind of thing from your kid about yourself? How would you feel??
