I have also been looking for websites that are willing to pay for your writings. But now I'm starting to think there aren't any. And on myLot, I feel like it could take years to earn just $5.

@EverSoConfused Last month it did. This month, at approx 15c a day, I think I will not make $5. Still, that means I should get close to $10 in July. And August has 31 days ;)

I don't think so that there is. I think there are mobile apps which will let you play and at the same time earn. But those are just low payments. By the way, you are new in here. Welcome to Mylot and may you have an enjoyable stay.
