The purpose of the eyebrow.

my sweating forehead

The purpose of the eyebrows is to catch and hold on to the sweat dripping down from the forehead. But because the sweat was slightly profuse a while back, some dropped in my eyes but my eyelashes screened them out. Still some reached my eyes, and I had blurred vision. That is why I always have that cloth diaper hanging on my shoulder. (But how if the eyebrows are so fine and thin or worse, they are gone? Must you use a sweat band like some tennis players do?) These are some purposes of the external parts of our eyes. Can you share more?

Perhaps if the brow is gone or fine those are the lucky ones who do not sweat at all? I would like to say I am one who does not sweat, but nope.My brow is nice and thick to catch it though.

@ridingbet Some times I would not mind not sweating at all, we have no A/C. Some days I have to shower twice in the summer

@mom210 yes, even 3 times especially if we sweat so profusely and it is also humid as well.

i like eyebrows that are thick and well-shaped especially if they are not yet shaved and maintain its original shape. i have not known anybody who does not seat at all, because this may mean an illness.

Most women modify their eyebrows to look more attractive. I never sweat on my forehead, but I suppose that a sweat band for those who have the problem could be useful, at least while they do not show in public.

@ridingbet I almost never perspire for the heat, sometimes when I exercise, mainly my under arms and neck.

that is good. for me, this early, my philtrum is now sweating. there is a funny belief that when a person sweats in his philtrum, he is a jealousy type of guy.

even the canthus of our eyes have the purpose of knowing if a person has standard trisomy 21 or the Down's syndrome.

I only perspire when doing excessive exercise. Nothing helps except lots of clean tissues.

@ridingbet I use Kleenex brand tissues. They are soft and strong. Also, it's not like I drip incessantly. Lol!

@DianneN Kleenex i think is the very first face tissues in the market. and when we buy tissue in stores, we would say "kleenex", just like when buying toothpaste, what we tell is "Colgate". indeed Colgate = toothpaste; Kleenex=tissues.

that is good. but isn't it that face tissues 'disintegrate' when wiped with sweat or any liquid matter?

So many people shave their eyebrows - then pencil in a thin line.

I didn't know that was their purpose, that's why I always have wet eyebrows :( I guess it's a good thing

@ridingbet As for me I do put mascara but only on special occasions. I find this quite irritating

@Nawsheen putting mascara to long eyelashes is nice. it makes you more beautiful. we have a comedienne here who used very long eyelashes, and it became her trademark.

the foreign object that can enter our eyes is one reason why we have our eyelashes. i have a medium-length lashes, and i don't augment it by putting mascara or false lashes.

that is good as long as your brows are not fully shaved at all. your sweat will go directly to your eyes if ever.

i do not have thick eyebrows, so i add by using the eyebrow pencil. still my brows cannot 'collect' the sweat dripping from my forehead.

Yes, I wonder how abut those who have tattooed eyebrows and those that are thin? I wonder how they cope up with sweat?
