I am about to go home but couldn't because of heavy rain. I remember there were a lot of times I got stranded while on the street because of heavy rain. Some places in Metro Manila easily gets flooded and it is not a good thing soaking our shoes in the flood just to be able to get home soon. There is no choice but to let the water subsides. Have you got the same experience before

Oh yes, I experienced that when I was reviewing at CPAR , in front of UST. It was raining the whole day. When we were dismissed in the late afternoon, it was already flooded. We walked slowly on the middle of the road to be safe until we reached Welcome Rotonda and there was able to get a jeepney going home.

I did not know that the road near the UST easily gets flooded. I experienced that too in there.

I have experienced flooded roads in the past, I remember I removed my shoes once not to destroy them.

@LadyDuck I did it too when I was still a student but I rested first my feet for an hour because my parents always told me not to wet my feet after many hours of wearing shoes.

@LadyDuck Hum, I just realized when I was a kid, I did not think that there was also a flood abroad.

@annierose I removed my shoes and walked in the water, we did that so many times when we were kids.

Hope you safely return home. It's been a while since it has rained that heavily where I stay. Usually things get water logged and slushy, but I've never been stranded.

@annierose Where I stay it doesn't flood that much, so I can drive my car or bike through whatever happens.

I also did experience this situation, especially in Manila. I had tried to work in Manila. I need to wait for the water to subside.

The good thing is that the water does subside.

@annierose I also feel so surprised when you need to pay the bridge during this flood. It was a good experience to know, though.

That is so scary. Seems like people just need to have an inflatable raft to get to places! Hope the flooding doesn't get too bad.
