Things are so much different today than when we were growing up. Things were just simple back then, at least I thought so. What kind of advice would you give to the young people of today either in their business paths or schooling or just in general?

Think things through before acting, and put down those dang phones!

I chuckled reading this answer. My husband gets mad every time he sees a cell phone glued to somebodies ear while the person is walking and not paying attention to the path.

@Fishmomma I can't stand it when I have seen my kids in a long time and my daughter stays on the phone texting. Maybe I would be better off writing her a message.

Hahaha, I cannot stop laughing. I can't wait to see what the upcoming generation is going to yell at their kids for.

My advice don't take a job that your family or friends suggested you do now. Pick a job that you pick for yourself, as your more likely to be happy doing the job. Go to college, if you want to attend keeping in mind that many people get great jobs without a college degree. Avoid spending money on things when you can fix the one you already have now unless its going to cost more than buying another one. For example, I bought a new stove because the repairs were more than a new one. I see to many people just toss things that are able to be repaired easily.

Isn't that the truth. It must be nice not to worry and buy something new instead of fixing something.

I would tell them to follow their heart and have a happy life. Get a good education if possible but under no circumstance borrow money. Plenty of trade jobs pay well
