Losing my mind over the cat

Good morning everyone, I have a little issue I would like some advice about. I rescued a kitten almost 3 months ago that was around my apartment complex. I have already gotten her vaccinations and am ready to get her fixed.
The problem: She is very destructive around my apartment. She chews up everything and anything, and she always tries to bite and pounce on me every chance she gets. I'm hoping she will calm down as she gets older and after I get her fixed.
Do you think she will calm down or do you think this will be an ongoing thing???

Hello Brant, I have to say that I never had my own cat. But I don't think she stops doing it.
Maybe if you find her some toy then she plays with that and she will calm down a little.
I hope this will be something temporary, because it seems you like her

Welcome to mylot. Yes she will calm down but not for awhile. Give her plenty of toys and play with her. Wear her out.

That's kinda what kittens do. get her some toys to play with.. and maybe play with her with like one of those feathers on a stick or a laser light.. and get her to expend some energy and tire her out.. I think she is just bored and she is using you as her toy..
If she had another cat to play with they would be wrestling and biting.. she is just doing what comes naturally.

Maybe she isn't a typical domestic cat @djbrat13 maybe you can seek information from the local zoo to see if perhaps she is actually a wild cat. I've read that it can be easy to mistake wild kitties for domestic cats. Just don't let her outside though, she's not equipped to survive as a huntress without her natural mom to teach her.
Just letting you know that I found out a lot of veterinarians have no clue about the differences between the wild species and domestic species.

Having her fixed will help somewhat @djbrat13 . Chew toys and a scratching post. Training is important. When she goes for cords, spray her with a water bottle and tell her "NO!" I have 13 cats and the water bottle works.

I have a kitten myself too. But she doesnt do what yours is doing..
Maybe your kitten is lonely, or she is teething(?)
I was told once the cat is fixed, she will calm herself down. Hope your place will still be in one piece...
