Is there any doubt Rafael Nadal is the greatest clay court player ever!
He is 79-2 in his career at Roland Garros. Bjorn Borg, who was no slouch on clay, in comparison won six titles. Borg retired at 26 so we never would have known if he could of added to that number.
Would have enjoyed seeing who was the best between those two. Imagine a Nadal-Borg final with them going head-to-head at the French in their respective primes.
Side note: Both players were such great sportsman and two of my favorites. It would be very difficult for me to take sides.

@dgobucks226 I like watching tennis sometimes. I used to play when I was a kid and still miss playing it sometimes nowadays. It's surely is a good and quick way to earn a great living!

A fun sport and great exercise too. I've shifted more to golf these days, but occasionally will pick up a racket and play.

Borg played far more formidable competition in his day than Nadal whose main rival is Federer. Neither man faced Borg's rivals: McEnroe, Connors, Nastase, Lendl, Vilas, Newcombe, Ashe, Emerson, Vilas, Noah. All of them hall of famers. To win a title in Borg's day you had to go through Lendl, Connors and McEnroe!

Definitely make a good case! I love Borg, my all-time favorite, but I think Nadal can hang with him. Different eras, different equipment (rackets) different depth, with more clay court specialists. McEnroe, Connors, Newcombe, and Ashe, never won a French Open, because clay was not their best surface. If you look at who Borg played in the finals his major competition came from Vilas and Lendl, two very good clay surface players. Also, Rafa won all 4 majors, Borg did not compete in the Australian, but never won The U.S. Open. Nadal did. Plus Federer, who holds the All-Time record for majors with 18 has a career losing record against Nadal (on all surfaces). By the way, Rafa is now 2nd All-Time in majors!
Personal Note: And I still like Bjorn, but probably in 5 sets and in an epic 4+ hour marathon!
