A family was held hostage by a bobcat that entered their home in New Jersey

In the believe or not files from Morris County in New Jersey a mother and her two children had to hide inside their bathroom after a bobcat entered their home in Washington Township on Wednesday evening.
Washington Township Police Sergeant Robert Oranchak said that the police arrived after the report of a bobcat had entered the home.
How the bobcat entered the home remains a mystery. The police opened up all of the windows and doors inside the home to get the bobcat to leave the home.
After one hour, the bobcat decided to leave the home without harming anyone inside the home or the police officers which gives this story a happy ending.

@TiarasOceanView I have never seen a bobcat personally. But I have seen boa constrictors when I lived in Panama and they are scary creatures.

Me too since I found out that swimming against the tide of reporting news can be a good thing sometimes. Perhaps a window was open since the New Jersey area has been under a heatwave recently.

I am sure the mom used her cellphone to call the police since as far I know there are no telephones in bathrooms.

I would not to encounter a bobcat inside my home either in my lifetime.
