Lets talk about some art!

Along with being a librarian, I also love to play with all kinds of art.  I loved it so much, I even went to a small trade college and got an associate degree in graphic design.  I figure, why not share some of my work and my fun art pieces I have done over the years.  So, here is my first piece I present to my fellow my lot friends.  This piece I did was back in college around 1999 for the Utah arts festival.  This festival goes on every year in downtown Salt Lake.  This is a thing that features artists from all over the state.  Different kinds of media are used.  Anyway, the best piece advertising this festival gets featured all over the state.  No, my particular piece did not get picked, but that's ok.  My inspiration for this particular piece came from my young cousin at the time who liked to fingerpaint, in conjunction with some brick wall art that was along a city elementary school.   I figure, kids and handprints, what better way to present art?  Lots of colors.  This art piece took approximately 6 hours and was done completely on Adobe Illustrator. I'm proud to say, it's one of my better pieces that I'm proud to display.  Any thoughts and comments are welcome  :)

I love the piece and really enjoy crafting items. Sorry it wasn't picked. Which month is the festival? My husband and I will be going to Salt Lake next year.
