Scared Border Collie Advice

My border collie who is now nearly seven is still scared of most things, including : Hosepipe Anything that makes a noise Storms (even ones so far away you can't hear them) Vacuum cleaner Cat (if cat tries to lie next to her) Is she ever going to grow out of this? We've had her since a puppy. I don't think we've ever even shouted at her. That combined with intense jealousy should anyone tries to pet the labrador makes a "difficult" dog. Still love her... Just wondering where we went wrong.
