Tonight is a little change of pace. I picked up some garlic and cheese sausage at Winn Dixie over the weekend for $3.50 and decided they would pair well with the corn I got on sale. I will be grilling those tonight, and make some homemade mashed potatoes to go with them.
So the breakdown of tonight's meal is as follows:
-Sausage (4) $3.50
-Buns $1.35
-Potatoes $0.50
-Milk, butter and garlic $1.00
-Bacon Ranch Dressing for taters- $0.50
-Assorted toppings for sausage- $0.50
Total for tonight's dinner- $7.35, for dinner for two.

Wow that's cheap. Still not sure what our dinner will be, but it'll cost more than that.

Somehow we will think we will survive. Tomorrow is probably going to be chicken.

Wow--that is a deal! Tonight is my expensive night. We are buying fish and I have potatoes and cabbage for a cabbage salad --so this dinner will be in the 13.00 range or so for three people--

Great job! I love seeing someone actually MAKING their dinners and doing it from scratch. You can do it so cheaply and eat well. So many people either buy fast food or buy pre-made processed crap and waste so much money. . . and they are they ones who claim to have no money. Makes me crazy.
