Crazy Fashion: Metal Tab Top Coat and Purse

One material which I have never considered using for a coat is the tab tops off a can of soda. However, there is a store in Laguna Beach which occasionally displays items which have been carefully crocheted together from metal tab tops. In the past, they were always short jackets or vests, like the one in the photo above. Now, they have a full length coat and matching purse! I can't imagine owning either. What about you?

I wonder if they are noisy as well as "unique?"

They are surely heavy to wear and not warm.

@JamesHxstatic - I agree ... they could be noisy to wear. I don't know who would want want, but they keep displaying new items, so I suppose they are selling. That amazes me!

@LadyDuck @JamesHxstatic @TiarasOceanView @Tampa_girl7 @jstory07 - After repeated attempts, I was not able to load the photo I took of the coat, but I was able to load the one of the vest. Just imagine it as a full length coat with matching purse! I think they have sold the vest in the photo, so now they are displaying the coat and purse. I can't help but wonder "who buys these things?"

Well not now at this point, but there was a time when I would have gone for that look Deborah. That is so inventive too Wish you had a photo of the coat.

@TiarasOceanView - I will have to take another photo the next time I am in Laguna. For some reason, I could not load the photo to MyLot, so I posted a photo of a jacket a took a few months ago. That one worked.

Like this Deborah
At 78 years old, Sister Fabienne, a nun from the commune of Bauge, in western France, was spotted riding her hoverboard through the streets of the sunny town...

@TiarasOceanView - Wow! That is amazing. My 56 year old sister broke her wrist on a hoverboard, so this nun is amazing. God must be helping her out!

@TiarasOceanView - Thanks! My sister recovered just fine, but she was a little embarrassed about it.

I have seen a nice shirt made with soda cans tabs. This is the photo of the one I found very nice.

@DeborahDiane I agree that it is surely not comfortable, but this is surely the case with every clothing made using metal items.

@LadyDuck - You are right! I cannot imagine being comfortable in any clothing made with metal. It certainly is an unusual look!

@LadyDuck - Wow! That is an amazing skirt. I cannot imagine it would be very comfortable to sit down, though! Plus, with all those holes, you would want to wear something other than underwear under the skirt!

@Tamp_girl7 - It is probably the most fascinating fashion item I have seen in the past few years. I would love to see someone actually wearing it!

@crazyhorseladycx - Ha ha! Yes, that is a crazy way to recycle. Looks like a lot of work. I didn't think about the fact that my hair would get tangled in it. Ugh! That would be awful!

@crazyhorseladycx - They fashion designers sure come up with some crazy ideas, don't they? @LadyDuck just reminded me of the plastic clothes in the 1960s. That was another wild time.

Do you have a picture of the coat and matching purse. I think that would really be neat to wear.

@jstory07 - I'm going to have to try to get a better photo of the coat. However, I was finally able to post a photo of a similar jacket.
