So here i am crying once again, i just want to curse this freaking day.... Not only did the money get taken from my account today, now my friends whom said they we're going our backing out. I just feel like breaking down, it's always one thing or another and now it's like i am just being told not to go.... Chris you have no money don't go.... Chris you're friends are not going don't go.... Chris horrible stuff is happening everyday in Portland don't go.... So i guess Chris will just sit at home and do what he does any other day.... just so tired of being tired....

I am sorry, I know how you feel. Not having a car is hard and I know what being broke is too. You cant hide because bad things happen, because you would never get out.

It's not even so much the not driving as not having anyone who wants to do what i want to.

I'm so sorry you can't go but don't sit home and do nothing. It's easy for me to say, but please try something fun to do or failing that, do something to help someone. That always makes you feel good about yourself. And put your money back in the bank.

@chrissbergstrom Do you like to work cross word puzzles or word games?I can get so absorbed in those that I don't know what's going on around me.

Sorry that you were unable to go. Honestly, I'm terrified to go to any big gatherings anymore. I just don't trust people and my anxiety gets the better of me when things like that are going on. Hopefully, your day gets better.

You should not sit at home being sad. If it is that important to you (I read you comments why it is important and I agree) you just find a way to go or at least try. I don't know how far you are from Portland but is anyone in your town going there for that or another reason? Plus, you have friends there. Can someone come and pick you up? If you have to stay at home, at least make it a festive day. If you have friends where you live, have your own little celebration. I know how awful it feels to not be able to go somewhere that means so much to you and all because you're broke. I can't tell you how often that's happened to me and worse, when I had to tell my kids we could not follow our plans. It's frustrating and you feel like things are bleak and will never get better, you'll never dig yourself out of the financial hole. But you can, and you will if you set a goal and take positive steps to achieve it. This time next year you could be going to the Pride Day with plenty to spare. Make a plan, work that plan, and enjoy reaching your goal--start today. I hope you will feel better soon.

I know where it is coming from. Don't feel blue, my friend. There will be more blessings to come after having this kind of situation.

Well, that is a huge disappointment. It is not the money part but those friends backing out is so unfortunate. Now you will have to watch the pride on the TV or online.

Maybe it's a sign not to go. I know you were looking forward to going, but could you do something to celebrate at home instead? And plan on going next year. Maybe there won't be as much violence and craziness going on then (we can hope, anyway.)

@chrissbergstrom That's good. Hopefully you'll have some money saved up next year and will be able to go and enjoy yourself. I'm sorry you had to miss out this year.

I know from your posts how much you were looking forward to attend the celebration and now this sometimes life is just full of disappointments and all we can do is roll with the punches, so, try doing something you enjoy and try not to dwell on the negative.

@chrissbergstrom Of course it's hard to do and i won't lie, i would be very disappointed if i was looking forward to doing something or going somewhere and it all fell through. but, letting it get the best of you will only make things worse.

Hi Chris, you might hear this a lot, but, dont be sad, i understand that you really want to go to pride, for what i`ve been reading, those two reasons are not enough. look, im from a third world country, thing are really, really, really hard here, violence here is horrible, people get killed every day like flies. and because the economy, at least the 80 percent of the population are poor. and non of those things haven't stoping us from living our lives. doesn't matter if you have no money, you'll watch the parade and have fun, and doesn't matter if youre alone, you'll find someone. dont let little things ruin your happiness and peace. I wish the best, and take my advise.
