Happy Father's Day to my late, great Dad ...

I just wanted to wish my Dad, the world's best father and grandfather, a Happy Father's Day and let him know how much I miss him. Life is not the same for me and my daughter since he passed away several years ago.
The picture above is my dad holding my daughter. He's about 70 in that picture and she's about one. That was 29 years ago. We were at a Fourth of July parade. How my father loved his granddaughter! Best thing I ever did was bring her into his life!
So, for everyone out there celebrating Father's Day, here's to you and your dad. There's not much better in life than having a good father and I had the best.

@LindaCPearson I do! Lots! We spent every major holiday at his house, along with camping trips and lots of trips for ice cream

You are very lucky to have such wonderful dad, mine was a mixed bag but he is mine and I loved him. Father's day gives us a good excuse to remember them.

I was very lucky and my mom was great also, despite her unpleasant Alzheimer's those last few years.

I'm so glad you and your daughter have such happy memories! That means that whatever else happened in his life, your father was a roaring success!
I miss my dad, too. He's been gone five years but it often feels as if I lost him just yesterday. The sorrow never really goes away.

What a nice picture. I think it is nice to have a special day to remember folks that were so good and met so much to us in our lives.
