1997 - Titan Books - Spoiler alerts
The fifth Preacher collection of graphics from the Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon dream-team Dixie Fried, presents separate adventures for the various recurring characters. It opens with a story featuring Cassidy, the Irish, hard drinking, womanising vampire. For the first time he discovers another pf his own kind, but the guy is convinced that he has to live the whole Gothic vampire lifestyle, sleeping in coffins, drinking blood, etc. He surrounds himself with a cult of pretentious Goths who hope he will make them into vampires too.
When he finds that his new friend continues to kill humans despite finally learning that only sunlight actually kills vampires, Cassidy traps him outside to burn at sunrise.
Funny despite being often gory, especially in its sense of Gothic culture taken to extremes.
