Trump's Wall

United States

I just saw a news clip about him talking on it.. . Trump proposes a wall that is Solar (trying to get the environmentalist to back this idea) that will pay for itself so that Mexico doesn't have to pay as much (where they shouldn't have to pay at all in my opinion). In a perfect world Trump would pay for his wall since he wants it so much! Of course that's not going to happen. I don't think a wall will happen anyway, and that this little snippet was just a last ditch effort to get more people supporting the idea of it. Oh and he also had to mention that it was HIS idea. If it WAS his idea, he wouldn't have to say it was. It was someone else's idea that he stole and wants to make sure everyone thinks it's his idea. Look, regardless of where you stand on the Trump issue... This wall thing is just not going to work... We don't want to pay for it (tax payers), Mexico shouldn't have to pay for it.. Would it not make more sense to hire more border patrol officers and renegotiate a schedule of patrolling said border?

DT is stuck with the wall idea. It resonated with a lot of Americans because it is something tangible and concrete and too many Americans never got past being able to think other than concretely because of our education system. Mexico was never going to pay for the wall. DT knew this. Mexico said so. The whole idea was farcical from the start.

@DWDavis I was in fifth grade then, I think. So I don't remember that.

@ScribbledAdNauseum He took a page out of the Democrats playbook. Fear and hate, race baiting and class envy, have been the Democrats main campaign tools since they lost the House in 1994 to Newt Gingrich and his Contract with America.

His voting bloc wants the wall, though. They heard Muslim, Mexican's, and wall and made up their minds to vote for him right then and there.

A bunch of racists. I'm sorry but it's true. I am all for banning countries if there is a known link to terrorism and if half the population of said country are made of terrorists... But the way Trump is doing it is just not the way.. Not the way what so ever.

@ScribbledAdNauseum - A very high number of terrorists come from Saudi, yet he's making deals with them rather than including them on his list.

The wall is never going to happen. That idea is DOA. Hell, pretty much all of Trump's ideas are garbage and are going nowhere. He is a joke.

A joke that I am tired of laughing at. It's not funny anymore and it really never has been.

Wait a minute! So the problem about the wall was who will pay it? I think it would have been better if Trump would try to help Mexico somehow so Mexicans wouldn't have any reason to leave their country and go to U.S.A.. That would solve the problem forever (I know though that this is very difficult to happen). Furthermore, the wall will be more effective than the border patrol officers and I also believe that is unfair for Mexicans to pay for the wall.

The problem with the wall isn't just who will pay for it but that is one reason. I honestly don't keep up with the news about the wall as I don't usually care to hear about it. There's enough other things going on with the Trump administration that is more important. I don't see Trump helping Mexico nor do I see the majority of Americans wanting their tax dollars going to help them either. That's the sad truth.
