A picture from my window this morning. Will it really reach 103 F here?

As you can see from the photo I took this morning (from my desk), It's already pretty warm out here in the East Bay of the Bay Area--91 degrees F as of 11 AM. I'm wondering if it really will reach the 103 F that's predicted. I have my AC on and will write a progress note and then go water my child laborer's and my secret garden near the bike path. After that, I'll take inventory and see what's next. How's the weather where you are? Is it unusually hot where you are too? By the way, that's not really a photo from my desk. It's a painting by Hieronymus Bosch, who lived from around 1450 to 1516. It's safe to say he was a bit ahead of his time.

I just took a quick cycle and watered my young friend's and my garden by the bike path. It's 98 F right now. It felt hot but overly oppressive.

98 F right now here (it's 3 p.m.) and no A/C. I have a fan running where I work upstairs, the lower floor of the house is not too bad. Why I do not move down? I am lazy and I have all my computer stuff upstairs.

@TheHorse I went down to prepare a gelato, that is now in the refrigerator and I wend down in the basement a couple of times because I did some laundry. It's almost 6 pm, I think that in about one hour I can open the shutters.

@LadyDuck It's morning here, so it's almost evening there. How cool will it get at night? Here, it peaked at 102 F here (what is that, about 39 C?) but cooled down enough at night that I opened all the windows and slept comfortably. It was probably 65 F (18 or so C?).

Yep, I can relate. I work at my desk no matter what. I do have AC, though. Did you take a few breaks and head downstairs? I hit the pool in the late afternoon.

There's so much to see in that Bosch painting. It has just started to rain (not much, enough to give that distinctive petrichor quality to the air outside) after 5 days of dry weather, and (relative) warmth. This is worrying, as the call I put out for a roofer to help identify where heavy rain gets through our roof recently has yet to yield results. Bleh.

@TheHorse At the moment, no roofer has answered the call for help.

I'm not sure what would be considered unusually hot for the pits of hell Florida, but no it's about 91 outside here now. Although with the heat index we were above 100 earlier. Love that painting.

@Lupita234 We could use a little rain. I'm on vacation right now. If it were 95 and raining, I'd put on my swim suit and flip flops and go dance in it!

Hahahah! It's the apocalypse! It's actually cooled down about 10 degrees here in Utah, it's about time, lol. Supposed to be a couple of monsoons this weekend, so we will see.

It got up to 82°F (27.7C) here today. Finally my toes have thawed. Our little heat wave is due to arrive this weekend, courtesy of some sort of meteorological thingamajig, probably just hot air migrating from California, as usual. I thought that image was of you teaching a math class.

It's 90 here with a heat index of 101. Our high is suppose to be 96, so I imagine the humidity level will be at least 105. @TheHorse . I have a really bad feeling that July and August are gonna be real wollie-boogers.

It is current 109 here, practically a blizzard compared to yesterday and the day before. Where it was 118. I don't have an AC just a window unit. So I understand, it is...so hot.

How does one describe 118 F? I May have experienced something close in Scottsdale, but I was mostly either inside or in the pool.

@DesirousDreamer Well said. I just cycled to the "secret garden" to add some soil and water. It was 102 F. It actually did feel "hot," not just "very warm."

@TheHorse think about the heat that comes out when you just opened your oven after baking something...that is the puff of hot air that clings to your body until November.
