Adopted A Dog

My birthday was June 22, and I managed to convince my husband it was time to adopt a dog. We lost our labrador in November of 2016 and our mutt in February of this year. We had been talking about adopting a PUPPY.
Well, I saw this dog on our local Humane Society's web page and fell in love with his face.
When we went to meet him on my Birthday I fell in love with him.
He is one year old. He is a Labrador and standard poodle mix (sometimes called a Labradoodle and sold for high prices as a "designer dog.") Hes very smart, but has separation anxiety issues. And he is still YOUNG so he's getting into all kinds of puppy trouble.
So far I think he is an AMAZING adition to the family, and I fall in love again every tiem I see his face.

He is VERY smart. He will sit and lay down and shake on command. He knows how to jump over short hurdles like on an agility course. We are working on walking on a leash without pulling, and working on stay.

I think having a puppy/dog in the family is always a good thing. Just have to be ready to commit to care.

@nonersays adorable. he looks like a taller version of this new dog I am following on Facebook is name is Bocker Jr. (the original Bocker was blonde. the new one is this beautiful brown)

He's the same color as a chocolate lab, except for the golden fur on his face. He is too cute for words.

How does he act when you go to work and leave him with the kids?

He is amazing with the kids. The oldest is a little afraid of him when he barks or runs. The little one has no fear and will play with him for HOURS. So he mostly ignores the oldest boy and is always messing with the little one trying to get him to play.
If he's left ALONE he barks and whines and gets into things. He has seperation anxiety. Not surprising considering he's been left at the HS at least twice in his life. He's gotta learn we're not going anywhere.
