How Would You Like To Have A Park Named After You?

Boise, the city of trees and parks has been my home for 65 years. One location I love is Julia Davis Park. It is in the central area of Boise and was created in 1907 with a land donation(89.4 acres) from Thomas Jefferson Davis. The park contains several different sites such as the Boise Art Museum, Black History Museum, Boise Zoo, Idaho Historical Museum and the rose garden. There is a band shell there too. Lots of room to picnic and it is right on the green belt and the Boise River. You can learn more about the park here:

The Rose Garden was added to the park in 1935 and was actually dedicated in 1939. About 2800 roses were planted. The Rose Society was organized in 1978 with a memorial fund established in 1979. It was recognized nationally in 1992 when it was accredited as a public rose garden.

@celticeagle lol NO I am a very under the radar type of person, no one even knows me in the town where we have lived for 40 years. A 12 by 12 sq.

I could never imagine anything named after me. Lovely park to visit though. I love the smell of roses. I could spend much time there.

I sure did. Used to ride my mountain bike on the greenbelt and end up there. Roses all around me. Some smell sweet and others peppery.
