Favorites List - Disaster Movies

Okay, I've been asked to come up with some kind of list and I've been thinking long and hard on this. I'm going to try to come up with five movies on my favorites list for disaster movies.
First up in the number five position would be a recent movie I just saw called The Wave on Netflix. It's a foreign film with voice over, but it is a great movie. With Netflix doing the
now and not the five star ratings, I could only give it a good
.
The Wave is set in Norway on one of the Fjords there. A tsunami like wave is created when a rock slide happens, which the movie opened up with some past history of that happening.
The main character is a geologist working for a company that watches for those slides so they can warn the people in enough time to get to high ground.
I hope you will give this a watch if you are into disaster movies.
Thanks for reading.

I have seen this Valerie and I thought it was very very good.

Not a big fan of disaster movies, but I do remember The Towering Inferno... that was pretty bad. The Titanic just jumped into my mind... don't think that I could watch that one more than once!

Not into disaster movies. Horror, true crime and romance are my favorites. I'm such a romantic.

@just4him ......Not saying the 'work' together. No, not at all. Those are the genres I most enjoy instead of disaster.

I've been doing that a lot to movies that sound good and then don't have that factor needed to keep watching. There is one however, I want to go back to. It's also a foreign film, with subtitles - I didn't want to read the whole thing that day, but it does look like a good movie and even a tear jerker by the end.

@just4him I read the synopsis in imdb. I do not mind watching movies in a foreign language as long as there are subtitles.
