Home Health Nurses Update With My Latest Update

Sometimes I feel like Home Health is a waste of time since my Word, has no say in the matter how I am feeling, and if I have questions, Oh nothing is wrong, but you can call anytime if you feel something is not right.
Like really? There is more pain in the area where they did the surgery where the open wound is, but that is OK. The nurse has never seen me before today and did not even have any idea what was going on except from reading notes. We tried to get her to measure... No, we don't do that every time we come. I have been in more pain, and all she wants to do is everything is OK and maybe you should just take a Pain pill and not worry about it.
Healthcare these days... I am a recovering Alcoholic ... Will have 21 yrs in just over a month, and here take pain pills. Oxycodone is Great for your pain. It is very addicting but hey who cares. You need them. This really upsets me in the way they want to treat me.
And people think our Healthcare is Great? Ever really needed help, and feel at a loss even when you are paying for the Healthcare thru my husbands job? Yes, I have already met the deductible but still.
Am I over reacting? I guess I just continue to have my husband check everything when he comes home, in the morning and then right before he goes to work tomorrow, etc. and if anything is out of the ordinary well try to get into a Dr tomorrow or wait til Friday for someone from Home Health. (I already have a Primary care apt set up for Monday, and then apt with my Surgeon next Thursday for follow up.) Just makes me wonder where these nurses if they really are ones, keep up with anything if they never see the same patient all the time?
Keep me in Prayer as I get ready to take another 4 Ibuprophen and hope that that helps some of the pain I am in right now.

Tina if this nurse isn't listening to you, ask for another one. You do not need to settle for every nurse they send your way. I have clients that have not been happy with every nurse or aide they get. They request for that person not to be sent back.

My son is a nurse who does home visits and he has a patient list, they are his patients and he visits the same ones all the time unless they go off the service

Lucky him. The agency that I have been using they keep on rotating all the time. I did get a good one I really like but she is going on vacation the next 2 weeks so I have to have someone else and hoping things will not be too bad.

I am so sorry she didnt want to hear you and do a better job at her job. I get not wanting to take pain pills too. Oxy made me dizzy and throw up everytime i sat up, even just a little bit, when i was given it after getting a tooth pull.

I was having issues with the hydrocodone not being strong enough is why they changed it. Glad I don't need to use it much anymore

Right now I am just taking it day by day depending on how things look and how the home health people are acting.

Some days, that is easier said than done. Trying. Being here helps take my mind off of things
