Have Lots of Work to do Now

Today at lunch I met with my editor and she gave me her markup copy of A BOY AND TWO ISLANDS. I've only had a brief chance to glance through it, but it looks like I have a lot of work do to.
Writing a book is a lot of fun. Revising a book less so. Making edits is least fun of all.
At least the promo giveaway of my first book, RIVER DREAM, seems to be going well.

How dare they edit your work
..I am sure it is fine the way it is, in fact more than fine lol I mean it..but I know you have to do it DW.
Saturday started off with a grouch in my family is all I will say..oh dear. So what I don't care, I am going to enjoy my day anyway.

The edits are mostly corrections of typos, misplaced commas, things like that. It is necessary and I am very lucky to have a friend who worked in the publishing business before becoming a teacher who enjoys my books so much she'll edit them in return for dinner out with me and the missus.

@TiarasOceanView And now we are colleagues as she teaches at the school I'm going to. She also taught 7th and 8th grade Language Arts to both my sons.

Is that the cover for your new book? I hope it goes well for you. Of course I agree writing a book is a lot of fun, except when writer's block hits. Revising a book is harder than writing it, but can be equally fun, at least I find it so. As for editing - that's where it's hardest for me. I'm waiting on cover proofs right now for my latest book. Good luck getting through the edit. I'm glad River Dream is going well. Is it on Amazon?

Sounds like you will be busy getting that book all straightened out and finished for your editor. I got your River Dream book yesterday and can't wait to read it and the rest of them as well. I even spread the word on here to other myloters as well.

I thought they would get someone to do that because they do not want to see the same mistakes and waste everyone's time. Oh well, I tried. Hope all goes well and why I find writing a book itimadating. I could knock it out, but once they see my grammer, would be like 10 years for me to fix it.

My day is slow and just beginning.
Anything I write would have to be sent to an editor. Sometimes when I am writing and someone talks its like their voice is going through my fingers and so "words" end up where they do not need to be

I downloaded your free book River Dream and anxiously looking forward to reading it. I also put the next books in the series in my Amazon cart for future purchase. I always wanted to write a book but could never come up with interesting characters or a plot that would hold anyones attention. So, I'm an avid reader instead
