(You're still here, huh?
)
I'm addicted. Dang, but that stuff is good. I saw it on sale at Kroger the other day and said, "Hmm, that sounds good," and bought some. It was more than good, it was GREAT. I can't wait to have more of it.
What?
(Remember my warning!)
Mashed cauliflower.
(Hey, I warned you!)
Bird's Eye makes this stuff, mashed up like potatoes (but "2/3 less calories" it boasts on the package), and flavored (I had sour cream and chives). Wowza.
Now I'll qualify this review by saying I do like cauliflower, including raw cauliflower salad (cauliflower, tomatoes, onions, cheese, ranch dressing). But this stuff is a new adventure in delicious.
(What's that sound I hear? People unfollowing me? "Ew, cauliflower?? Isn't the country music bad enough?")
If you like cauliflower and you see some in the freezer section of the grocery, I recommend it. Highly.
I don't know any songs about cauliflower, but here's a skit from The Electric Company about the equally offensive vegetable, broccoli:

I don't usually care for cauliflower, by the way, but this stuff was good, so I hope to find the BirdsEye kind and try it. I do love broccoli, though!

I like cauliflower but my boyfriend won't go near it, so I rarely buy it.

Oh, Ruby Tuesday used to have that on their menu, back when the low-carb craze was a thing (it should STILL be a thing. Starch ain't good for ya!). It was really good--just like mashed potatoes!

Try -- Peas,Cauliflower and Potatoes all together in one dish. They taste good with onion - spicy - salt and lemon.

Green Giant makes mashed cauliflower bites, which are like tator tots but with cauliflower instead of potatoes. They are soooooo good. We get them a couple of times a month.
