Alive is a true story about a rugby team from Uruguay on their way to a match against Chili. On the way their plane crash lands in the Andes. Alive is a story of survival and what they are reduced to in order to survive when rescue teams declare them dead when they fail to find the crashed plane. This is a gripping story that has you wondering if rescue will ever come and how it will come since they had been declared dead. I saw this about a year ago on Netflix. I'm not certain if it is still on Netflix. I did give this movie four out of five stars. Some information verified by IMDB. Thanks for reading.

I'm not sure it is on Netflix at the moment. I would need to look at what they have available. You can always do a search for it as well. Less time consuming.

I haven't seen Alive, but watched Break Down a few years ago, and it was so exciting! Every time you thought you could take a breath, something else happened!

@just4him No Escape is good too, although has a few bad words.

@1creekgirl It's been a while since I watched it, so I don't remember the bad words.

I saw Alive. It was very gripping and a nail biter. By the way, we tried to watch The Wave. We loved the scenes in Norway, some of which we visited, but my husband got impatient with the subtitles.

@just4him Never thought of that. Will try to do it. We are both technically challenged.

I haven't see the movie but I know about the story, how sad. It is a story much too common and it is a shame.

I remember watching that movie in a class and it was pretty tough to watch. I wasn't a fan at all.

Remembering this story (having read it many years ago) the movie would not be for me. It was difficult enough reading about it @just4him

I didn't know it was a book. I'm sure it would be difficult to read and watch. Still a great movie on survival.

I think it was produce in the 90's but the real event happened in the 70's. Cannibalism which the survivors resorted to was the controversial subject. This is the thing I remember about the movie.
