Follow Up: Calico Kitten

The Calico kitten thrown from a guys pick-up truck got adopted on Saturday by a lady who SUPPOSEDLY has been looking for one for ages. Yesterday, Kenny (who saved the kitten) went to the lady's house to do a welfare check on the kitten and was absolutely appalled at the circumstances. They had her locked up in a crate on the porch with NO FOOD or WATER, NO litterbox. Kenny came unglued. She came up with all kinds of excuses. Her boyfriend doesn't like cats; we want her to catch mice (locked up?); I gave her a chicken bone to see if she'd eat it. Kenny reached into the crate and took the kitten out and said, "I am taking her back; apparently you don't really want this kitten." The whole drive back to the shelter, the kitten was clinging to Kenny. Kenny has decided that he is going to keep the kitten for himself. Bless his heart. I know that she will be taken care of.

Why would someone do that to a kitten, she should be arrested for abuse. Really, what a mean nasty person.

It breaks my heart when people do that @BelleStarr . I agree on the arrest part.

That poor kitten... how can people be so cruel? I think that things are looking up for her finally!

Kenny will be a good Daddy @Hate2Iron . One of the puppies that he has thinks he's the Calico's momma and sleeps next to her.

Someone should lock that (expletive) in a crate with no food or water for a few days and see how she likes starving and dying of thirst while sitting in her own excrement. Hell is too merciful for someone like her. Give Kenny a big hug for me and thank him for saving that poor little kitty. People who mistreat animals and children should be thrown down a well and left there to die.

I know right? How insane is that @hostessman . Kenny decided to name her Dots. Go figure. There are a heck of a lot of other names that would have been more fitting.

It's a good thing I wasn't the one to pick the kitten back up @rebelann . I'd have probably made headline news.

It's a good think Kenny went and got the kitten because if it would have been me that lady would have gotten one hell of a chewing out @blitzfrick .

What a bunch of crappy people, if you don't like animals then don't keep them.

It is a good thing Kenny went to check - not many people are so caring.

I know. A lot of shelter agencies don't do check-ups. That is one thing I can always say about New Leash on Life; welfare checks were always done @Kandae11 .
