A Pound a Day

I weighed myself this morning at the pool and was hyped by the fact I've lost a pound a day since the first of the month. I know there are those of you out there that are going to scream that I'm losing too fast. Have no fear, I'm sure it's all water weight. I'll plateau soon and wonder why I haven't lost anything. So I'm enjoying the fact I'm losing at the moment. According to my food chart, I'm not hitting 1200 calories a day, a lot less in fact. Even when I had a couple burgers on July 4th and four eggs for supper last night, it didn't come near 1200 calories and I'm not denying myself food either, though I have changed what I eat, not exactly how much I eat. I normally eat about three eggs at a meal, but the eggs were cracked so I had four instead. Wise choice. I didn't need to eat the rest of the night. Now there is something changing and that is my lack of headaches. So all the fruit I've had is having a plus side effect I'm liking. Today I'll be adding veggies to my diet. I went to the store after the pool this morning and really loaded up on fresh veggies. I even included those veggies that haven't been on my list of foods for quite a while because of my medical condition. Those being tomatoes, onions, celery, cucumbers, and brocolli. I'm also thinking about the wonderful lunch I'm going to make with it all - today I'm going to have zucchini with onions and tomatoes sauteed in butter with garlic and other spices, oh and mushrooms too. That's a meal all by itself. I don't know what I'm going to have for supper yet. I've got lots to choose from. I've already had a grapefruit and some green seedless grapes for breakfast along with my apple cider vinegar drink. I'm munching on the grapes. So that's my update and news regarding my weight loss so far this month. What's your news? Thanks for reading.

Great you are getting a lot of veggies Valerie. You are really doing so great! I know even if it is water weight some of that is toxins leaving the body so I am glad you are feeling good.

1200 calories a day is not much at all. The 600 pound show that doc puts them on 1200 a day and they are 600 and over. Grapes are loaded with sugar!

@AbbyGreenhill I wish those grapes tasted like they had sugar in them. My son told me to try one before I bought for sweetness. I did and thought they tasted sweet. Now I don't think so. I doubt I'll finish those grapes.

Thanks for reminding me I didn't put the calorie count on them. I see they are loaded with calories too. I guess timated I had about a half cup of them. Definitely not a full cup by how many they say is in a cup.

That's good news and you are doing great. You will lose all the weight and you're having plenty of good food. Sometimes it's the food we eat and not the amount. You must be feeling happy and you should. Congratulations.

Thank you. My birthday is this month and I'm hoping to have lost a good amount by then. I know it will be the water weight and the easy pounds, but it would be nice to be down a bit by then.

You are doing so well. I don't think I could drink a vinegar drink. I don't think I could get that down. That is something I clean with. I do know it has medicinal properties.

Have you ever drunk apple cider - the juice? This apple cider vinegar drink with cinnamon in it tastes just like that. My mind has a hard time dealing with the fact it has vinegar as well. You don't taste it. It's so good and yes, lots of health benefits.

@MsBooklover I found out about it when I went down the organic food aisle. It has 4g of sugar and I'm guessing that is from the apples themselves. The ingredient list is: Pure distilled water, Organic Apple Juice, Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Organic Cinnamon and Organic Stevia Extract. That's it and Stevia doesn't have calories. I found something very interesting on the bottle today. A fish symbol with a scripture verse in it - 3 John 2. That gives me even more incentive to drink this, besides it's great taste. I saw Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey on the shelf yesterday. I'm going to give that one a try as well.

@Sherwinmrtn It's been a long time since I had fast food. It's not healthy by any stretch of the imagination. Now when I go near one, the grease smell alone gags me.

@just4him thats right. But sometimes i dont even take fast food and still my situation is like this

Not bad to lose like this for a while. Just hope you don't get to those darned places where you can't lose for a while. That is what happened to me and it was very frustrating. Good luck!

Nice! Great job! I hear and from my experience weight loss during that first month is much quicker than months later on. I am working on losing weight as well and have found that after losing 50...the weight is only very and maddeningly slowly coming off. Haha. Keep up the great work!!!

More veggies and fruit is great! I put apple cider vinegar in my water . . . it has many health benefits and people do say it helps them to lose weight. Hubby and I saw a docu about wheat . . . how today's wheat is so bad for us (not just gluten issues but how people have messed with growing wheat and the pesticides and such that is put on it) - so we've cut down on that too. Getting rid of sugar (as much as possible) helps too!
