I got an unexpected early call that invited me in to an agency for a job interview right away. I set off a soon as possible and found the office easily though from outside the building looked derelict. Inside, it was alright, nothing special, but perfectly functional. I was given an application form to complete which was just a few pages long. I was till filling it in when I was called in for a quite informal interview. It turned out to be for a place on a call centre training course I have already completed – the application process on many job site does not tell you the names of the companies you are applying to, as the sites want a commission and you might under-cut them by applying directly. We cut the interview short and I went to the library and later to the community centre. Back home I did some laundry, had a nice chat with my mum on the phone and chilled out for the night. You should claim for your travel costs and your wasted time.

@arthurchappell You're probably right. Maybe next time you get a phone call you should ask them to check that they're not sending you for something you've already done.

@WorDazza the call came directly from the agency - at least i'm on file if other work comes in but it is likely to be dreadful work

Well that's a bummer you filled all that out and went there for nothing since it was a job you already tried for. Glad you had a good rest of your day and got to talk to your mom.

Temp agencies here do the same thing. They'll tell you what the job is, but won't tell you the company unless they send you out.

@teamfreak16 they get a percentage so they don't want you going in independently

What a bummer! I was all excited to hear what this company was all about and then it was the same one you completed. Ugh!
