Big Man Hurt In Nasty Fall.....

Clouds of dust came from under the gate as the usual big Rocket sounded.
Bulls came out tumbling over each other and racing to catch up with their Manso Brothers who were leading the way.
First guy to be hurt was in the Cuesta de Santo Domingo and he got thrown right up into the air and he landed with a huge crash on the ground.
That bull was the grey and black one I believe.
Bulls of Cebada Gago are very fast and can be very dangerous if confronted too.
They have injured no end of people over time.
Luckily there were Doctors and Ambulancemen to take the injured off to the Hospital and now most of them are doing okay.
Three were hurt by bull goring and the other a head injury which can be very serious sometimes.

There are a few that prepare for all this and they keep fit all year round and so they stand a better chance whereas the others are not in such good shape for that and they are in more danger.
Bulls are very very frightened when they charge out of the gate.

Big guy went flying through the air as they came up the Cuesta of Santo Domingo Tiara.
He was huge and yet the horn of a bull like that one threw him and he had a nasty landing too.
Could have been much much worse really.

No, Tiara and far from it.
One American fella got killed and it was by accident as he got up from the ground when he should not and the horn of a Bull caught him and killed him almost outright.
It took them two hours trying to repair the main artery that was in a terrible state and they could not save him but they did try they really did.

Its Generations of people that have always done the same thing so its not going to be easy for them to adapt to something else.
I shall be glad when its Friday and that is the end of it for another year.
Mind you the other lot in Pamplona will be pleased to get their City back also.

The man is lucky he survived @lovinangelsinstead21 , and I feel sorry for the bulls. I don't like that they are put through this.

I don´t like it either but we are a very smell percentage against the majority who sees all this as their tradition and their living also as they work in these Ganaderias.

Animal protestors were in Pamplona as usual but no one wants to hear them ever which is a shame.

Can´t see it happening Val not just yet.
I wish to goodness this Fiesta no longer existed as it does.
Fair enough let the Bulls run but then take them back home to their fields where they are much happier.

You know men Jen.
They love to do things like that.
Thing is they are not warned enough about the dangers as there are more people that are not from this Country injured than otherwise.
Only one Spaniard was injured all the rest were not from here.
Bulls are very powerful indeed nothing to sniff at I can tell you having seen them run.

I would leave them alone you can bet on that.
They were beautiful bulls that ran today and they are well known for causing injuries as they are "toros bravos".
That is what they are for to defend and that is what they do.

i know such's a custom where ya live but't begs to ask the query 'f where those folks brains'd be? i also 've seen/read where the bulls're 't times goaded 'nto such behavior :( the folks who wish to 'run with the bulls' need to find a hobby 'r somethin'....like needlepoint :)

What they do to the bull is cruel and not needed any more.
For me its totally useless.
I like to see the bulls running free and wild and not like they are treated to please a lot of people.

I agree with you there and anyone who gets in there knows or should know what its all about.
Tourists are hurt very badly because they think that they are not going to get hurt.
Well I can understand that because they are not in their own usual place and the things that they are used to.
Hardly like taking the dog for a walk.

You might have read about the Bullfighter that got killed in somewhere near to Biarritz.
No deaths this year although there has been before very dicey game this of running with the Bulls.
