Getting lots of marketing emails...

Lately, I've been getting lots of marketing-type emails. Some of them are from retail stores I have shopped at online, which is fine, though I will probably unsubscribe from those at some point. But many of these emails are for things I never signed up for or requested. It's rather annoying and I have to keep unsubscribing. It seems I get at least one marketing email a day. Just when I unsubscribe from one thing another comes my way.
I don't know how these companies, or whoever it is, get my email, but I have a feeling that I am getting these emails because I joined Swagbucks. I could be wrong though.
How do you guys deal with marketing emails when you get them?
Anyone who is on Swagbucks experiencing the same thing?

I get junk/marketing/trash emails in waves. Anytime you give up an email address to even a legit business, the garbage suddenly arrives.

I ignore most of them since they wind up in the junk folder. The older I get the more I learn to ignore things. I don't think it has to do with Swagbucks, it's due to all kinds of things/sites.

Usually in my case the marketing emails got to the inbox. I hope that the unsubscribe actually works. But I can't really keep track of where I unsubscribed from and what I get to see if I was actually taken off the list.

@AbbyGreenhill I wonder if all of them actually remove you... Something tells me that after unsubscribing some still send you stuff.
