Way too hot yesterday to take the dog with us who was not at his best.
Apart from the fact he always plays up when we take him out anyway.

We always remember first thing to take his water from the tap in the Kitchen and his own dog dish also.
In other places he has refused to drink the water from other places or even another dish that he is not familiar with.
Are´nt dogs funny?
You would think that they would adapt to anything but they do not that easily.
So when we got back after being out for nearly three hours and he is not used to us being out for that long we came back to find that he had not eaten anything at all or drank any water.
After jumping all over us then he went to eat but he only ate half of his food and waited till the usual time to eat rather late at night.
Was he glad to see us back?
Yes indeed he was.

He does get to be like that anxious if we are out above the amount of time he is used to.
But the trafiic yesterday was pretty awful and way too much heat for him so we left him with food and water at home all locked in like how he likes it.

Glad we did even though he missed us he would not have enjoyed the heat and the dust and the hassle.

critters 're funny that way. then 'gain, i take my own water where'er i go, too. when we used to take the horses out, i always 'd a tank fer 'em 's they'd not drink other water, particularly if'n such 'twas city water. e'en the well water varies'n taste from place to place.
yer pup sounds somewhat like the one here. she pouts whilst i leave her't home, not 'understandin' that 'tis too hot'n the truck.

Hows about that then?
Did not know other animals did that too want only their own water.
I can understand them wanting the well water also because of the taste.

This is just it I have to take enough for him from here to drink and it can be two whole big bottles and his very own dish otherwise no way is he going to drink that.

Problem was that we were too far from home and we had to get him back so he would drink the water in the house instead.
Next time his own dog dish for sure.

Do you like him?
He is a rascal at times too like any other.
Don´t be too impressed by that look of innocence on his face there in the photo.

This is really interesting to know as well you know.
Even if we take the water with us and the dish its a bit tough to get him to drink we have to stop somewhere where there are trees and no people and then he will drink.

You can say that again he goes off in a huff whenever he feels like it too if he thinks you have said something not good about him.

@lovinangelsinstead21 It doesn't take much to upset them and then they decide they won't eat or drink.

He does have a lot of feelings but does not like to show them readily.
We rescued him from the hands of others.

He hates it when we have to go out and leave him but its much too hot here sometimes you see and too long a journey also.
He gives me a dirty look when we say we are going out and he has to stay in.

Yes, he won´t eat without us at all.
No matter what you put him it will stay there till we eat something otherwise it just stays there.
Next week it will be much too hor to take him out at all.

@lovinangelsinstead21 won't he have gastric hyper-acidity if he delays eating his food?

Right on .
Whenever we have to take him to the Vet he runs for it and hides away he does not like going there at all.
He will cry all the way till he gets there then he behaves like a Saint.

They can get overweight but he is not a greedy dog at all quite the reverse.
What you give him to eat he will keep it sometimes till he feels like eating it.
He will often wait till Jorge gets home and the he eats after he comes in.

@lovinangelsinstead21 wow, I am full of respect for this pet of yours. None of the dogs we have had, seems to be that smart. They often gobble all up and as fast as possible. If they leave any food behind, it is more likely because they know something better would come.
