Gotcha! (The great escape)

It rained this afternoon. Not so strong, just light rain. I went out to the veranda to take a shot of the gloomy skies and the rain but then, something caught my eye.
There is a plastic net covering the orchids, and I noticed these 2 big houseflies caught in the net. Maybe they thought they can squeeze in their bodies through the holes but they were not able to pass through.
They thought it was their great escape but... Gotcha!

@LadyDuck yes, it is better that our house and surroundings should be mice-free.

Good that the net saved the orchids from them @ridingbet ! I don't know how you catch a fly, but I use a fly swatter and smack them silly! :)

oh yes, there are some flypaper sheets sold here, but our house is not fly-stricken anyway so, we can just kill a fly using the fly swatter.

I swear, houseflies just end up anywhere. I have seen them in the most peculiar places. At least they were caught before they could pester!

as for us, we don't catch them anymore but kill them with the fly swatter, a rolled magazine, a flypaper, or any other thing that can kill them. hahaha!

@DesirousDreamer really? then those flies will enjoy your place because you are sympathetic of them. just kidding.

@ridingbet I'm not a big fan of hitting things. I try to let things outside if I can. I know it is easier killing, but I have like a weird fear of things getting smashed haha

even when it rains, mosquitoes thrive as well, that is why there are certain diseases caused by flies, mosquitoes, and rats.

Ha ha! Some little flies they were. Oh no, not little, they couldn't squeeze through, right?

heheh! if those flies were little or small, they can easily squeeze in and fly out, but those 2 flies are big.
