Belated June crockpot recipe report card

Mylotters, better late than never, due to computer issues and searching for recipes to do this month and start this week. Here's a look back on how my repeat recipes this in June and how they scored: 1. Crockpot Hawaiian Chicken--A+. It tasted much better with the crushed pineapple than the chunked pineapple. It was delicious. And so was the leftovers. Instant success. 2. Crockpot Spaghetti and Meatballs--A-. Although I didn't buy the frozen meatball variety like it said in the recipe, I've made my own turkey meatballs and baked them the night before. Although I forgot to put the spaghetti sauce on that night, it still tasted great and didn't crumble like last time. And for the main meal and leftovers (that I had to make extra spaghetti for), it worked out great with angel hair pasta. 3. Crockpot Ritz Chicken--A-. Although the chicken tasted great, I still had trouble with the Ritz cracker coating to top the chicken. There must be something I'm doing wrong with the cracker crumble-butter ratio for the coating. Leftovers tasted well, too. 4. Crockpot Chicken Marsala--A+. Another fantastic dish to finsh out the month, even though I skipped the fresh parsley (didn't have any with me), it still was delicious in my mouth. I've used baby bella mushrooms and it worked out fantastic to compliment the dish. I had leftovers during the 4th of July weekend earlier this month. Now for the July picks of the month, all fresh from Pinterest this time around. And yes, I'm going to try to do the chocolate lava cake 2nd redemption and swap the chocolate bar pieces with baking cocoa instead. I hope third time''s the charm. If another fail, I fold. I've opted to buy the baking mix package from my local grocery store as back-up, when I brought it last Friday, which comes with 8 packets to make it in the oven for 13 minutes. I don't have a muffin tin. But that's an idea for my next X-mas list. I know I've mentioned about trying to make white pizza in the crockpot earlier this spring in a comment for a previous monthly crockpot report card. But I've checked the recipe out and thought wrong. It's for the oven only. So I'll make it sometime this month as soon as I buy the frozen pizza crust mix this weekend. The recipe also called for making your whole wheat dough, but I don't have a food processor on hand. Here's my July picks for this month, starting one I'll be making tomorrow. I have no time to do it tonight. 1. Crockpot Easy Mac and Cheese (I just need to buy evaporated milk this weekend). I can pair it with a salmon burger or fish fillet. 2. Crockpot Easy Orange Chicken (I'll be making it this weekend instead--forgot to put the chicken in the fridge.) 3.Crockpot Chicken Alfredo Tortellini 4. Crockpot Million Dollar Pasta (I'll be swapping ground beef with ground chicken.) Bon appetite!

If you made homemade meatballs and then have to cook the pasta, what is the point of the crockpot? I'd just simmer the meatballs in sauce for an hour or so while you are making the pasta.

To slow cook the noodles in the end. That's what the recipe called for. I did buy frozen meatballs last weekend and maybe make meatball sub. To each their own, right?

@NJChicaa No worries. I never get overcooked noodles. First you cook the meatballs in the sauce for a few hours. Then at the last hour, you put in the noodles in third and have them cooked tender perfectly. I hear you.

@KristenH Hey do what you want. Just seems kind of redundant to me and like you'd get overcooked noodles. I like my pasta al dente.

OMI Gosh White Pizza in the crockpot sounds super adventurous! I would be very curious to hear how that one turned out!

It does. But the recipe turned out to be only for the oven sadly. I'll be game to make it in a week or two.

I think the orange chicken would taste the best. Everything else sounds really good to.
