Peanutbutter is the best survival food next to chocolate and peanutbutter.

I call peanut butter survival food.
It can be stored for a long time. Once I was in the Aldi market with my wife, shopping for weekend food items and this man had three cases of 24 jars of creamy peanutbutter. Peanut Butter is cheap, lasts a long time. Can be used if there is a terrorist attack or a war.
People actually buy tons of this stuff as a basic food source for survival.

@lookatdesktop Cashew butter must be an American thing, I have never seen it on our shelves. All the Swiss houses have an atomic shelter and we have the list of non perishable food to keep in the shelter.

@LadyDuck You have an atomic shelter? I'm beginning to think I need one if NKorea keeps shooting missiles over our heads here in Japan. (Actually my school would do, it's solid concrete. Not my house, though.)

So you are a fried peanut butter sandwich type. I think Elvis would like it as well.
. And you did say baked. The flavor is the same baked or fried. Have you ever had an Elvis Peanut butter and banana and bacon sandwich? It is insanely good.

@cancergirl Baked sounds interestingly different. Never tried it yet. I will soon. Maybe I can bake it on flour tortillas with honey? Hmm maybe not.

I often like to have a PB&J on oat-nut bread and my preferences are either blackberry preserves or strawberry with the creamy peanut butter. Lightly toasted bread with peanut butter spread over the top of it, along with glass or cup of cold milk is always a class act.

They are good together. I know that recently, that a store in our neighborhood now sells of all things, refrigerated, cold coffee creamer with the flavor of chocolate&peanutbutter, the kind sold in a cup in a wax paper liner.

There are certain brands of Peanut Butter I like like Jif, Skippy & Reece's Some store GENERIC brands are very good as well as several organic and natural brands. Yummy for the tummy but have milk to wash it down.
