Today was my busy day. I usually have one week a month when I have all my appointments. This was that week. Monday I talked to my pastor about Small Groups. Tuesday is laundry. Wednesday was supposed to be my hair appointment but that was canceled to today. Today I had my counseling in the morning followed by my hair appointment. Tomorrow I'm home after the pool. Nothing planned. At least right now there is nothing planned.
My hairdresser had to cancel due to a death in the family. Her last aunt passed away. She still has a great aunt, but this was her father's sister. The shop was very busy this afternoon. She did two of us just about the same time. She got her other gal started and when she was under the timer, she started on me. Today was a cut and color, so I'm looking once again like my profile picture.
A vendor also came in that sells purses in the shop and the gal my hairdresser was working on decided on a purse from her. Then as she was finishing up, I asked her if she liked to read. Both the gal my hairdresser was working on and the vendor will be at Art Street next month. So now I have something to look forward to. It looks like I'm going to be there every day of the event to promote my books. I haven't said as much to my editors yet, but I think it would be a good idea to do so.
So anyway there was a lot going on today and now I'm home and I'm ready to find out what you've been up to since I left you this morning.

It's been forever since I've been to a hair Appointment I do all my own hair stuff lol.

I wouldn't be fit to be seen in public if I did it myself. It's great when you have that talent. My mother did. It's the one thing I didn't inherit from her.

You sure were busy this week. I love hair appointments. Would always prefer someone else messing with this mess than myself. Lol

Sounds like you had a busy and interesting day. I wrote my nephew a long letter this morning and ironed. After preparing lunch I mopped kitchen and bathroom. And I've been off and on on mylot. My younger sister called and we had a long conversation. Your day sounds much more exciting than mine.

I worked outside today, and it was so hot. I am exhausted just reading about your day, but I am glad it was a good one.

@MsBooklover Retirement is great! I never wanted to work. I wanted to stay home and raise my kids, but that didn't happen. Then I was fired before my retirement age and couldn't find a job, though I tried, but being at retirement, they wouldn't hire me. I was so glad when I could finally apply for SS. Being without any income is very hard. I praise God for my sons who helped me during that time or my house wouldn't have been the only thing I lost.

Sounds like a busy day. I have an appointment next week and then another one the following week. During the summer is my busy time with appointments. That's cool your going to be selling your books at their events more income for you. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your day. I worked all day and now that i am home i been relaxing all night.

Yes it is and the fourth will be out soon. It was a bit hectic. I'm glad I only have those kinds of weeks once a month.

glad ya got'cher locks tended to, ms. valerie. my condolences'n the loss 'f yer hairdressers aunt. interestin' that she lets vendors 'nto her establishment?
if'n ya enjoy gettin' out'n promotin' yer books, i'd be thinkin' that 'tis yer decision to make. i confess, back'n the day, i hired folks to do such. ya know, coz people make me nervous?
've been makin' phone calls, sendin' emails, pickin' herbs to dry, tendin' the garden, makin' more phone calls, etc. been a busy day here, too.
