One way of learning how many people from other lands are coming to live in your country is to take a plane with a reduced rate and then listen to the conversations at the customs.
Right now we are having people from all Central and South America coming in. I watched the different colors of their skins, the luggage they brought and, in some cases, the problems they had with language. Haitians don´t speak Spanish so it is difficult for them to fill the immigration papers.
I´m glad we welcome all people although we still have housing problems that need to be taken care of.
How is your country with respect to immigration?

I have just read a short story about an American marrying a Filipino girl while in Manila.

I live in a low income apartment complex. My daughter and I have lived here for nearly twenty years. The last four or five years the complex has gone from caucasians being the most living here to immigrants being the most. They come from all over the world.

Everyone comes here, but the most immigration I had encountered was when I was flying into London.

After all, we are all immigrants in the Americas, except by the several natives.

@marguicha Yes London had many more and very long lines to wait..it was fine though as I was a young woman with nothing to hurry to and no problem waiting in line. I would not fly now unless I absolutely had no choice. The wait times and lines for security here are unreal.

@TiarasOceanView Things have changed but I doubt that there is more security. There is more bother though.

My ancestors came from many places. They mixed in Chile and I have German, Spanish, Croatian and Italian for the most part. There are bits of other races too.
