How did I wind up in this situation?

I want to relax. But no. I have to play the first set of a gig with our Country Band, then jet over to another Cafe and play two sets with a middle-aged rock 'n roll band. The band leader from the Country band is ticked off at me, but I've hardly missed any practices or gigs in three years. To heck with him. Have you ever accidentally "over-scheduled" yourself? How did it turn out?

Both gigs were fun. One of my band mates' families was at the first one. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Most of the time, yes. I end up eating a lot and sleeping a lot

@Lucky15 Yes, sort of. I may hit the pool today (it's supposed to be in the 90s). Bnd I have four progress notes to write. And I may take a kid client out that I didn't have time to see late in the week. Sigh.

I sure have and it wasn't too bad. I told a friend I would be over to help her and then a little later I remembered that I had an appointment. I called my friend and even though she was unhappy she understood. We just made plans for a different day. I know this is not like your over-scheduling but it is in the same catagory.

I have over-scheduled myself most of the time, but I finally always arrived to do everything... with a lot of stress.

@TheHorse I will tell no one. I am also trying to reduce stress, I am slowing down a bit.

@LadyDuck Thanks! Whew. I'd like to have as many projects going as possible that I can do at MY pace. Like my speakers. Or recording a song when I want to. Music "rehearsals" and such like are getting on my nerves.

At this point in my life, I'm trying to reduce stress. The lead singer's voice is giving out in the Country band, and I'll (secretly--don't tell anyone) be glad when that band finally gives up the ghost.

Wow, I've never known a "bar band" musician who needed a police escort to get between gigs on time! Good luck!

Oh, I made it over to the second gig without an escort. I wonder if they'll pay me anything for the first gig.

The way I seem to lead my life these days I'm surprised I don't over schedule more often!

The outcome was OK? I survived last night, and I'm sure my Country band mates did too.
