Do actions speak louder than words?

We've all heard the saying, "Actions speak louder than words" so I wonder how many believe this motto. For me personally, I've come to find this saying to be true. Of course I know words have a meaningful impact, but I find a person's actions say a lot about their character. How many times have you heard people say they're going to do certain things, yet they never do. To me a person's words don't mean anything unless they take the action to make good on their promises. Do you believe actions speak louder than words?

I agree. I had a bad experience with some so called good friends. When I was in trouble and needed them they turned their back on me.

@dramagirl26 @Courtlynn It is so difficult to trust anyone those days. They may leave your side whenever they feel like doing it.

@Nawsheen Sadly, people will do that. They'll say they'll be there for you, then turn their backs when trouble arises.

If I can't do something that I have previously said I would, as I am not perfect, I at least let others know that something has happened so that I cannot fulfill the task or offering or whatever may be the case.

@dramagirl26 I do but sometimes people do not accept it even when you do.

@TiarasOceanView It's nice that you do that. Not many people offer to give an explanation.

Always , words are just that , not unless they are put into action. Some people say something and do something else , so how can you trust their words ?

Unfortunately, there are things that I don't often do even though I've said it. In my situation these few days, it's just hard to achieve a goal with out obstacles and it makes me not do it sometimes.

@Letranknight2015 It's understandable that problems arise that makes it difficult to achieve your goals.

Totally agree. And i see people talk here and in person all the time but never do anything to prove it which is so annoying. Why even say it then.

@Courtlynn It is annoying. Sometimes I think people talk this way to act important, yet don't want to do what they promised.

@Kandae11 Everyone agrees that actions are more important than words.

I do agree. But action won't confirm anything, Even action has more impact, that is, it must also be said. Or who will be aware of what deeds has been made. Or you mean people with word of honor? You say it, you do it. If you dont, then it applies, promises are sometimes made to be broken.

another way i look at this is: there are people who will say how they think things should be done but they will not help or contribute when the time comes.

@hereandthere That's true. They love to offer their opinion or suggestions, yet don't want to do anything to help.

Words are just word. Actions are something concrete.
