The End of Another Month

Here we are again, at the end of another month. I’ve said it before, but I will say it again. It always amazes me how fast a month can fly by, when we are not paying attention. Hah! Even when we PAY attention, time just slips by so fast it makes your head spin. I have a lot to do that keeps me busy every day and on Mondays, I think about what I hope to get done during the week and before I know it, it’s Friday! Today, my daughter and I were scheduled to go to the Nursing Home but they contacted us to say that there was a special Conference called to discuss some issues and the room we usually use would not be available. So… I am going to have some EXTRA time today and I hope to use it wisely. I will do today what I had scheduled for tomorrow and I will be one day ahead of my schedule. That should work out very well for me to get more accomplished this week. What does your week have in store for you?

My husband and I, along with our two youngest, went to meet their teachers at their new daycare this morning. So that was fun. Otherwise we don't have much planned for the rest of the day.

@IreneVincent I've been working from home for a little while. So I don't really need daycare, but it can be nice to have some time for myself or to work and I think it's good for them to be a place to socialize. Either way can be good.

@dodo19 Oh, you are right about that. Time for yourself is important and socializing for them is always good too, especially if you KNOW they look forward to going.

It's always best to know who is taking care of your children. I always worked from home, so I never used a Daycare.

Probably going to be baking a raspberry pie. Just finished picking a ton of them. Thing is lol... I don't like raspberries. The previous owner left the bushes and they are flourishing.

I don't care much for raspberries either. I do like blackberry pie and cherry pie.

Too bad you cannot send them to me in Latvia. I just love raspberries @Hate2Iron

My week doe snot have much in store. Maybe being online a little more than I have been. I have been moving things around here and getting rid of junk. I guess I will just continue to do that.

That's exactly what I have been doing, getting rid of things I don't need anymore. I'm not quite finished with that project, but I hope to be very soon.

@IreneVincent From what I am learning now, it is taking me a long time to get that done. I collected a lot of stuff over the years. And I still have some things from the 70's and 80's. I cannot believe it.

@inertia4 If you have things from the 70s and 80s, they could be valuable. If you have clothes from that era, they would be considered "vintage." Their are some "vintage costume" shops that would pay for them to rent. We have several shops like that around here. I once rented a "poodle skirt" for a 50s party. I have a photo of myself wearing it. I'll have to post it on here.

This week I am playing nurse to my hubby who is sick with a high temperature. So between writing on the PC and keeping an ear out for what he wants I am fetching and bringing things to him and giving him his meds.

@IreneVincent I will take a look at your post. My hubby is getting better just can't shake the fever right away. He is drinking plenty of liquids, I make sure food is available but for now he prefers more cut up fresh fruit.

@RasmaSandra Fever indicates infection usually. Did you say he was taking an antibiotic? I sure hope he's getting better.

Oh dear! I hope he is feeling better by now and it's nothing serious. Did you read my post about "taking care of a sick person?" I just posted it a couple days ago.

Getting ahead on your weekly schedule is a bonus. Today I had a dr appointment, tomorrow my daughter and grandchildren will be coming for lunch. Yes, time is flying by faster and faster it seems

Waiting on my Spring water delivery yesterday, put me behind again. I got a few errands completed but I will have to go back out today. I'm going to the chiropractor again today for another adjustment, and then to Staples to make some copies of some important papers. I'm following a list of "things to do" to organize all my important documents. One more project I have been working to complete. There is a Staples on the way to the chiropractor's office, so I saved that for today.

That sounds like FUN. Who are you going to see in concert?

@Courtlynn I saw him in concert at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia several years ago. He is a fantastic singer. I haven't heard much about him lately though. I'll have to look him up on youtube and see what he's singing now.

Nothing interesting. Just the routine day to day living.

What do your routine days include besides mylot? Not that its any of my business. Since I've retired, I have been working on all sorts of projects and completing them has been challenging to say the least, but I am staying busy and getting them done. I'm hoping to get everything done so that I can take my annual trip to Virginia Beach in October and truly relax, without having to think about anything that still needs done at home.. I found out that a long lost second cousin lives there and I'm hoping to visit her. Her aunt, my first cousin gave me her contact information, so I am hoping that I can meet her and her family when I go to the beach. Another second cousin I found out, lives even nearer to me, so I got his contact information also. I'm hoping to meet him and his family also. I just got this information yesterday, so I haven't followed up yet.
