DESTINY.

Do you believe in destiny? Early last Sunday morning, a woman left her breakfast simmering on the stove and decided to sweep the pathway in her yard before the day got too hot. She never returned for that breakfast. A driver lost control of his car - it hit an obstacle then veered into her yard hitting her. The driver, his passenger and the woman were taken to hospital - where she died and the others were treated and released. The driver is now facing manslaughter charges. With so many road accidents occurring every day, that woman felt safe in her yard. Does this mean that regardless of precautions we might take , when it is our time to depart this life we will anyway?

How awful and sad. I believe in destiny, and when your time is up, it's up.

I heard of cases in which an airplane crashed some distance away from the airport, into some houses while people were still sleeping in bed at 3-4AM... That poor woman!

That is awful! Those people probably never even traveled on a plane.

@Kandae11 This thought is now universally accepted when it comes to destiny. We just live and face what comes our way,.

I absolutely believe in destiny. One day, while I was walking in the street, a big piece of concrete detached from a balcony and it fell on the ground missing me by less then one inch. That time I has been lucky.

@Kandae11 Absolutely, the back of my left shoe was slightly touched, I only had a little scratch on my foot.

It would seem that way. There are too many things like that to be a coincidence. I guess if it is your time to go, something will take you there.

@Kandae11 That is true, but something could have happened then, too.

She could have decided to sweep in the evening.

i think we make our own destiny. if somebody meets an accident, maybe that is the end of his life, and if he is careful, then he should not be in that position.

Well, that woman didn't own a car or wasn't being driven in one. She was in her yard and the driver and car killed her. How much more careful could she be? .

We never know the time nor place. This would be an unfortunate way to go.

How tragic! I don't know if I believe in destiny exactly, but definitely this was a very unfortunate incident .

That is so shocking and sad, but yes, I think that when it is our time, it is our time. I have also heard of those who survived great tragedies because it was not their time though.

I think if it is going to happen, it will happen. I feel sorry for the family of that woman. No one expects to get run over in their yard.
