Error when trying to Post with a Photo

I have been trying to post a discussion with a photo. I took the photo myself so there are no copyright issues with it. I get an application and runtime error. The post goes through, but the photo is missing.
Am I the only one having a problem with this?

Perhaps the file size is too big, try editing it then crop of unecessary details, hope it helps.

@akalinus wait do you take the photo and post directly from your phone or do you take a photo and transfer it to some other device like a desktop pc?

@akalinus it has got to do with how the picture is compressed like if it's a jpeg, giff etc..pictures are made up of pixels so the more colors the picture has the higher the pix even if it was taken with the same camera, I'm not talking about the size of the image or the picture but the file size that determines if it would upload.
One practice I do is save it on my device and edit it by cropping, or edit it and crop direct on my phone if Im using the phone to mylot. If you know how to crop a picture there is a greater and faster chance it would upload since the size had been reduced by removing unecessary details.

@akalinus i posted about this back in february, but i'll just summarize it here.
when i used picresize.com as suggested by diana, i chose Custom Size 640x426, Save as JPG , Max Filesize 60 Kilobytes.
when i used freeimageconverter.com as suggested by jj, i chose Size 640x480 and Quality 60.

Use your photo editor and shrink the pixels. The photo is too large to upload here on the site. You can even use Windows paint to do this one. Reduce the image by 65 percent and it should upload.

@akalinus Microsoft Paint is simple to use. Load your image and you will see resize. When this opens just go to the first selection on the box and erase 100 and type in 65. Afterwards, go to save as and save this as a JPEG image. You can add resize to the end of the number so it will be easier for you to find.

The maximum size of file which myLot will accept is 3MB and most cameras and some phones will produce a JPEG file larger than that by default. If you have uploaded photos before taken by the same device, your problem is more likely to be either a temporary problem with the myLot server (which would likely affect everyone) or the speed/reliability of your connection.

I did read your discussion about your visit to Tampa with your son. When I was going to respond that I was unable to see the photo, the post disappeared. As I did not post a discussion with a picture,I am not sure about that problem.

Maybe the file is too large? or the format is unsupported? Have you contacted the admin?
