I'm Going to a Concert! Just Don't Know Who I'm Seeing

This middle-aged hillbilly likes to impart wisdom from time to time. One thing I say is that if you've never dialed a wrong number, then you've never dialed a phone. It's a common mistake, and most people are completely understandable when it happens.
That happened to me today. I received a text, along with four other people, celebrating the fact that the sender got tickets on the side (the floor was already sold out), and all on the same row, but not all together. And the tickets are $76.00 each.
Great! Now....who am I going to see???
I sent a text back, saying, "Congratulations! I know someone is trilled! But it isn't me: you sent the text to the wrong number. But have fun at the concert, anyway!"
PS - my next concert is Los Lobos, for significantly less than $76!!!

I know. I saw them open for U2 30 years ago. I posted that I had tickets (front row, balcony, right above the stage), and a friend of mine replied, "I hate you."

@FourWalls - When I saw U2 No Doubt opened. Not exactly my favorite band, but I will say they were entertaining the second time I saw them.

Wow, that's funny! 76.00 isn't that bad for a concert really though..You should see how much they want in the DC area. Only the lawn seats are cheap.

Hope the person who should have gotten the text was excited when he/she finally got it. I'm so out of date with the price of things is $76 expensive or great for a concert these days?

For me, pricy. My Los Lobos ticket was $35, and I got a ticket to see Rodney Crowell for $30. Usually the concerts I go to see are no more than that much. I think the most expensive ticket I've bought is Elvis Costello, which was $45 for the ticket and $16 service fees.
But I haven't been to an "arena" show since R.E.M. In 1989.

I've called the wrong number before.. as our apt number is 911 and when i was like five i thought it was our phone number.. so i called 911 thinking i was calling my mom to come get me from my neighbors
good way to start learning the phone number..
Hope you have fun at the concert when you go to yours.
