Feared of Having a Stroke While Watching Koreanovela

I avoided being hooked or getting the so-called Koreanovela fever that most people in my country are into, thinking it would be a waste of time.
But one boring day, I chanced upon a Koreanovela on television, and from that time on (last week), I followed it.
There was one episode where I cried a lot when two lovers had to sacrifice going away from each other due to family pressures. The scenes were made more dramatic with the beautiful music. I did not understand the lyrics but I love the melody.
I had to compose myself fearing I might have a high blood pressure (though I am on hypertensive meds).
Now I know why many young Filipinos, and even old ones are got that "Koreanovela" fever!

It's my mother and my wife who watches it, I just know the story cause I can hear it while I'm working or doing something. No I don't want to get hooked on it cause I want to do something more productive with my time.

It already ended; just only for a week that I got hooked on one such TV soap because it was shown continuously on a cable TV without the commercials, and it was shown the whole day and night, all replays. I stopped watching other soaps.

Not a fan of Korean movies, music, or tv series and honestly, I do not understand the popularity of such.

I just "experimented" and tried to find out why so many friends were hooked into such telenovelas. Now I know!

Yes it is K drama, so addicting! the story ended; it was only for a week, so I do not try to watch the other stories again; maybe when I am bored again, I'll watch it.

I agree, at times, I also do not like watching such shows, but I do it only in my resting hours; just for a change. Now no more because I am already busy with other things.

I agree, that's the reason why it got so famous! Many people can relate to such situations. I just wanted to find out why so many people were hooked into it.

Oh? what korean novela is this? Few months ago I got addicted to watching "Kingdom of the Wind" and watch it twice but later I have moved on to other things..But still addicted to watching youtube. Better try to look for other habits before it makes you addicted to that show.

They're a big hit here too but I've never watched any. I don't watch tv much but I probably wouldn't mind watching those series if they're on while I'm watching tv.

I just watched it for a week, because the whole story was shown continuously morning, afternoon and night, all replays with no commercial breaks. So it ended.

I don't know what Koreanovela is, but you do, of course. We have the Hallmark station, love stories that usually make me cry, for joy!:)

Koreanovela is a television soap series made in Korea. I love the pacing and the story plot. And this is the first time I got hooked into one. Sometimes we love to cry watching those shows!
