So last night I was playing Grand Theft Auto online with my son, he's 22 and lives on his own now and when we have time we will play different video games online together, since we can't always get together since it's about an hour drive. We started to play with two people he knows. My son of course calls me dad even in the voice chat in the game, well after a few times one of the guys he knows asked, "did you just say dad"? This was the first time playing with this guy so he didn't know and we all started to laugh and he was like what? We told him yes, I am his dad and he was like your dad plays video games? He just could not believe that we play games together. He said his dad was to old to play video games. I said I am not, I enjoy it now and then, when I have time to. I don't think there is an age limit to playing video games. Can you be to old to play video games?

I don't think so, I am sure my father would love to spend time playing with his grandson if we teach him how to play. LOL

Yea, I never claim to be good at the games, and my son does teach me a lot of the tricks to the game, but I have fun all the same.

Is a person too old to watch cartoons? Who makes these "rules"? Do what you feel and enjoy.

i think it's great that you do what you can to bond with him and that he doesn't find it awkward at all.

Yea, I'm glad he has never been scared to hang out with me or say he loves me or hug even in front of his friends. Actually, even a few of his friends have said it's cool how close we are and they wished they had that with their parents. I'm lucky for that.
