Dusty Socks-- what are they up to?

I am doing my once-a-year thorough cleaning of my room. Outwardly my room is not so bad, but oh man, when I pull out furniture to clean behind it, what do I find? This year I found dusty socks and handkerchiefs. My question is, what are those single socks doing there? Did they have an argument with their mate and jump out of the sock drawer? Or did another sock push them out? Do you have drama with your socks too?

I too find age old socks every time I clean my room thoroughly I find my socks missing after every wash too LOL

Everyone seems to be mystified by the missing socks! They wander off somewhere and never look back to see if we are watching.

Or maybe they do look back, so they can sneak when we aren't watching. Like the children's game "red light, green light."

It was always a mystery how a sock lost its pair. I always find such old treasure having a general cleaning of my room.lol

I don't lose so many socks nowadays but when we were both working and much busier, socks would go missing regularly.
